Scarborough Flower Fund Homes

Scarborough Flower Fund Homes was established by Scarborough Rotary Club in 1969; the object of the charity the same then as it is today – providing comfortable, affordable, single person homes set in attractive surroundings.

Since acquiring its first site, Flower Garth at Woodlands, further developments have taken place in Filey, Cayton, Wheatcroft and Seamer with the charity now owning in excess of one hundred properties. The Board's policy is to fix rents at an affordable level whilst still enabling the properties and gardens to be maintained to a high standard.

The original policy has changed over the years however the Board believes that the need for Flower Fund Homes is no less great today than it was fifty years ago; Which is to assist the elderly to be independent and to enable them to enjoy their retirement years in safe and attractive surroundings.

Maintaining the properties to a very high standard is carried out by a team of local tradespeople ensuring that along with the programme of refurbishment, general maintenance is carried out quickly and efficiently. All the Flower Fund Homes gardens are maintained to the excellent gold award winning standard by local company Coastal Garden Services.
